PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle body rear structure for suppressing the deformation of a rear bumper where a separate component is attached to an opening.SOLUTION: A vehicle body rear structure 140 includes a garnish 116 to be attached to a rear bumper 100 installed at a rear end of a vehicle body. The rear bumper includes a body 102 extending in the vehicle width direction, an opening 104 that is formed in the body and extends in the vehicle width direction and to which the garnish is attached from the vehicle body side, and a stay that is formed on a lower surface 110 projecting from the lower end of the body to the vehicle body side, is a stay 106 extending obliquely upward to the vehicle body side, and has an attaching seat surface 114 for the vehicle body to be attached to the vehicle body at its upper end 112, and a reinforcing member 130 for attaching the stay to the vehicle body by coupling the garnish to the stay. The reinforcing member includes a first attaching seat surface 144 to be fastened to the garnish, a second attaching seat surface 150 to be fastened to the stay, and a third attaching seat surface 156 to be fastened to the attaching seat surface for the vehicle body and the vehicle body by co-fastening. |
