PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processing apparatus capable of obtaining a suitable pictorial feeling of an image by one process.SOLUTION: A vector detection part detects a flow vector from an input image to form a vector map for each pixel. A vector coherency calculation part analyzes coherency of the vector on the basis of the vector map from the vector detection part to form a vector coherency map for each pixel. A deformation property calculation part calculates a deformation property for deforming a tap shape of a filter used in a pictoriality conversion part, using the vector map from the vector detection part and the vector coherency map from the vector coherency calculation part. The present invention is, for example, applicable to an image processing apparatus capable of converting an input image into a pictorial image. |
