PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information processor and a data reading method for efficiently achieving data reading from a compression file system.SOLUTION: The information processor includes: determination means for determining whether or not processing object data or compression data corresponding to the pertinent data exists in the work area of its own device; data reading means for, when it is determined that the whole or a part of the processing object data and the compression data corresponding to the pertinent data do not exist in the work area by the determination means, reading the compression data determined to not exist from a compression file system, and for copying the compression data to the work area; development means for developing the compression data corresponding to the processing object data copied to the work area to a different area of the work area; and operation determination means for determining the operation state of its own device. When the operation state of its own device determined by the operation determination means is a predetermined operation state, the data reading means reads unread compression data from the compression file system, and copies the compression data to the work area. |
