PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an installation object holding jig for temporarily fixing an installation object such as a decorative girth between installed objects such as upper and lower story side outer walls of a building separated from each other.SOLUTION: An installation object holding jig, for temporarily fixing a decorative face material 20 to be mounted between an upper story side outer wall 16 and a lower story side outer wall 18 vertically separated from each other between the upper story side outer wall 16 and the lower story side outer wall 18, includes: an upper insertion part 2 to be inserted into a clearance between the upper story side outer wall 16 and the decorative face material 20; a lower insertion part 3 to be inserted into a clearance between the lower story side outer wall 18 and the decorative face material 20; and a connection part 4 for connecting the upper insertion part 2 to the lower insertion part 3. The lower insertion part 3 is equipped with elevation means 25 for elevating the decorative face material 20.
