PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an exhaust gas recirculation device including a suction passage whose path from an engine to a suction throttle is shortened, whereby the EGR gas and the suction gas are mixed thoroughly.SOLUTION: An exhaust gas recirculation device has a mixing part in which the suction gas flowing downstream of the suction throttle 7 and the EGR gas are mixed together, and which is embodied in the external mixing structure composed of an introducing line 18 to introduce part of the suction gas flowing downstream of the suction throttle 7 to outside the suction passage 5, a mixing chamber 15 installed outside the suction passage 5, fed with the EGR gas from EGR passage 11 and the suction gas from the introducing line 18, and mixing outside the suction passage 5 the EGR gas and suction gas, and a returning line 19 to return to the suction passage 5 the mixture gas produced in the mixing chamber 15. According to this constitution, the EGR gas and suction gas are mixed together outside the suction passage 5, and then returned again to the suction passage 5, so that the distance and time required to mixing can be managed outside the suction passage 5, and the mixing operation can be done thoroughly without altering the arrangement from the engine to the suction throttle 7. |
