PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gel actuator of relatively simple configuration having excellent response and generation force, and capable of being driven with a relatively low drive voltage.SOLUTION: The gel actuator includes an oscillatory gel member formed by using a dielectric polymer material, and a pair of electrode members not interconnected electrically and oscillating the gel member. The pair of electrode members are arranged on the same side for the gel member. The first electrode member out of the pair of electrode members abuts against the gel member so as to support the gel member when a voltage is not applied to the pair of electrode members, and the second electrode member is disposed in non-contact with the gel member. |
