Disclosed are a portable terminal, an in-vehicle infotainment device, and an application interworking method therebetween. The application interworking method between the portable terminal and the in-vehicle infotainment device according to the present invention comprises; the first step of calling an dummy API of the portable terminal as an application on the portable terminal operates; the second step of transferring a call argument to a proxy unit in the portable terminal by the dummy API; the third step of transmitting the received call argument to a server unit in the in-vehicle infotainment device by the proxy unit; the fourth step of calling the API of the in-vehicle infotainment device by the server; and the fifth step of displaying an image on a display unit by rendering using an graphic engine in the in-vehicle infotainment device in response to the API call.
