PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for pretreating a raw material to be sintered, which allows the use of a hard-to-granulate fine powder raw material by efficiently improving the granulability in the production of a sintered ore without increasing the use amount of a binder.SOLUTION: When quicklime and a raw material to be sintered, that uses a fine powder raw material having such particle size that particles with sizes under 500 μm are 50 mass% or more and particles with sizes under 10 μm are 5 mass% or less as iron ore, are charged into an agitator and then agitated, the peripheral velocity of the agitation blade of the agitator is set to 2 m/s or more, and water having a temperature within the range of ≥20°C and <40°C is added when agitation is carried out. |
