PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a flat cable manufacturing method capable of easily obtaining a flat cable from which an insulator film is easily extracted and which has desired length, and a flat cable.SOLUTION: A long flat cable 15 is cut and divided to prescribed length to create a short flat cable 16, and a flat cable 10 is created by removing an insulator film 12 at an edge part of the short flat cable 16. Thus, various types of flat cables 10 having different lengths can be produced at low cost. Since pressing force does not act to rectangular conductor 11 by a recessed part 43b provided in a pressing member 41 when holding the short flat cable 16 with the pressing member 41, friction force does not occur between the rectangular conductor 11 and an adhesion layer 13, and the insulator film 12 can be easily extracted from the rectangular conductor 11. |
