PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control device of hybrid vehicle, capable of avoiding a case that an exhaust gas purifying catalyst becomes overheated and improving merchantability, in controlling an internal combustion engine as a power source and a rotating machine.SOLUTION: A control device 1 for a hybrid vehicle V, having an internal combustion engine 3 operable by switching a combustion mode to a spark ignition combustion mode and a compression ignition combustion mode and an electric motor 4 as a power source, includes an ECU 2. The ECU 2 switches the combustion mode of the internal combustion engine 3 from the spark ignition combustion mode to the compression ignition combustion mode when a catalyst temperature TLNC detected under the combustion mode of the internal combustion engine 3 is a spark ignition combustion mode is a predetermined value T3 (steps 27, 24), and controls an output of the electric motor 4, when the combustion mode is switched, to assist an output drop component DTRQ_ENG of the internal combustion engine 3 generated when the combustion mode is switched (steps 55, 70). |
