PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable terminal capable of suppressing the occurrence of wrong operation when a user manipulates a portable terminal.SOLUTION: A portable terminal includes a touch panel. When a touch to the touch panel is detected, the portable terminal does not execute processing in accordance with the touch if the position of the touch is included in a specific area previously set in the vicinity of edges on the touch panel, and executes processing in accordance with the touch if the position is not included in the specific area. The portable terminal updates display so that a display position of a specific display target in a predetermined positional relationship away from the position of the touch becomes closer to the position of the touch.
