PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the size and weight of an occupant protection device which has an ECU and occupant protection means including a plurality of satellite sensors and airbags.SOLUTION: In an occupant protection device 1, two-wire type parallel connection buses 3 structured by tying satellite sensors 4 in rows are extended from an ECU 2 and a squib 6 is connected to the terminals thereof. Erroneous inflation preventing diodes 4D, which prevent the inflow of a sensor drive voltage supplied from the ECU 2, are attached to the squib 6. On a collision, an ignition voltage having reverse polarity to the sensor drive voltage is applied from the ECU 2 to the parallel connection buses 3, which makes the squib 6 start occupant protection means. Wiring to the squib 6 becomes so simple that the size and weight of the device are reduced. |
