PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an arm rest device that is provided separately from a seat and has excellent usability.SOLUTION: An arm rest device 1 includes: a forward and rearward moving mechanism 31 for moving an arm rest 2 in a front and rear direction of a vehicle; a vertically moving mechanism 32 for moving the arm rest in a vertical direction of the vehicle; and a control means 4 for controlling the moving mechanisms. It is further preferable to configure such that, under predetermined conditions, when a seat 90 is moved forward, the control means 4 controls the forward and rearward moving mechanism 31 so as to make the forward moving amount of the arm rest 2 smaller than the forward moving amount of the seat 90 and allows the arm rest 2 to be interlocked with the seat 90. |
