PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simplify the installation of a female screw member of a hinge mechanism for connecting a reader and a cover of a copying machine or the like.SOLUTION: A female screw member 13 in which a female screw is formed extends along either a first slider 5 or a second slider 6. The female screw member 13 is pressed against either the slider 5 or the second slider 6 by the spring force of a first spring 7a, and then fixed. An adjustment screw 11 is fitted to the female screw of the female screw member 13, and a spring receiver 10 is provided to the distal end of the adjustment screw 11. A second spring 7b is brought into contact with the spring receiver 10, and the adjustment screw 11 is turned to adjust the position of the spring receiver 10 so that the spring force of the second spring 7b can be adjusted. |
