PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recording method for suppressing, as much as possible, influence of air flow that accompanies large liquid droplet discharging operation on small liquid droplet discharging operation in an inkjet recording apparatus that performs bidirectional recording by using a recording head equipped with multiple recording element arrays.SOLUTION: In recording scanning, in which a small liquid droplet recording element array 102-S is positioned rearmost, recording data is distributed so that the discharging frequency of a large liquid droplet recording element array 102-L2 closest to the small liquid droplet recording element array 102-S is higher than the discharging frequency of the other large liquid droplet recording element array. In recording scanning, in which the small liquid droplet recording element array 102-S is positioned foremost, recording data is distributed so that the discharging frequency of a large liquid droplet recording element array 102-L1 farthest away from the small liquid droplet recording element array 102-S is higher than the discharging frequency of the other large liquid droplet recording element array. |
