摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display device that suppresses decrease in display quality more than before in performing a low frequency drive.SOLUTION: The liquid crystal display device is driven in a low frequency drive mode. A source driver applies a gradation voltage to each source line for writing periods HWP and LWP, and applies a sleep period voltage V_m to each source line for a sleep period SP. A value of the sleep period voltage V_m is, for example, an average value of a maximal gradation positive polarity voltage V_hmax, a maximal gradation negative polarity voltage V_lmax, a minimal gradation positive polarity voltage V_hmin, and a minimal gradation negative polarity voltage V_lmin. By letting a voltage of each source line for the sleep period SP be the sleep period voltage V_m, a potential variation on the source line upon switching from the writing periods HWP and LWP to the sleep period SP becomes smaller than before.
