PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique which, when a user uses a map to search for image data such as a photograph taken in the past, enables the user to use the feature of the periphery of an imaging position at the time of imaging.SOLUTION: The imaging apparatus comprises: imaging means which images a subject to generate image data; positional information acquisition means which acquires positional information indicating the imaging position of the image data; map data acquisition means which acquires imaging position map data representing with a predetermined scale an imaging position map covering a predetermined area including the imaging position; and recording means which records on a recording medium a data set holding the image data, the positional information, the imaging position map data, and scale information representing the predetermined scale, in association with one another. |
