PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sandwich panel which can reduce its volume by decreasing its thickness during transportation and easily restore its thickness to an original thickness during use.SOLUTION: Each core of a sandwich panel is made of an elastic material. Each core has a shape formed by cutting a part of the side of an elliptic cylinder in parallel with a shaft of the elliptic cylinder. The upper side of each core is fixed to one surface of a first front plate, and the lower side of the core is fixed to a surface on the side opposite to one surface of the first front plate of a second front plate. The sandwich panel has a first state in which a force is applied to each core in a direction parallel with the first and second front plates such that the first and second plates are bent within an elastic region to approach each other and a second state in which each core is stretched by elasticity such that the first and second front plates are separated to the maximum extent and stabilized. |
