PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an interdental cleaning instrument capable of effectively preventing gums from being damaged during interdental insertion while sufficiently securing an interdental insertion property, and efficiently cleaning a peripheral surface of a tooth and a gingival trough, by appropriately setting loosening of dental floss.SOLUTION: An interdental cleaning instrument 1 includes a handle 10 having a pair of arm parts 11 and dental floss 2 extended between floss holding parts 12 of the pair of arm parts 11, and the dental floss 2 is disposed between both floss holding parts 12 in a loosened state so that a loosening rate δ obtained by the following equation (1) may become 5-19%: δ(%)=(H/W)×100...(1). In this case, W is a holding distance between both floss holding parts 12, and H is a loosening distance from the center part of the dental floss 2 to a line segment connecting both floss holding parts, that is measured after pulling the center part of the dental floss 2 to the side. |
