PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a signal generator which can determine accurately whether or not an image has been shifted vertically and horizontally by one half pitch by a simple technique, in a display device that can enhance resolution by using a so-called oblique pixel shift technique, and to provide a projection display system including the signal generator, and an amount of pixel shift determination method.SOLUTION: The projection display system including a signal generator having a signal generating section for determining whether or not an image has been shifted vertically and horizontally by one half pitch, and an image signal switching section is further provided with an optical path shift section and an optical path switching control section. |
