PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To determine the number of distribution servers to be operated depending on the estimation of the scale of a streaming distribution request, while minimizing power consumption.SOLUTION: The dispatch server configuring a streaming distribution system includes prediction means for predicting the number of distribution of streaming data being distributed from a plurality of distribution servers of the streaming distribution system, determination means for determining the distribution servers to be operated depending on the number of distribution predicted by the prediction means, and reply means for replying, to a request from a client device, the address of the distribution server selected from a plurality of distribution servers determined by the determination means. The determination means determines a distribution server to be operated so that a distribution server having a longer time, from the present time of determining the distribution server to be operated to the time when the number of distribution goes 0, is utilized preferentially. |
