PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an indoor unit for air conditioning capable of easily and positively carrying out internal cleaning.SOLUTION: In an indoor unit for air conditioning, a heat exchanger 9 formed with a plurality of fins and allowing ventilation and a blower 10 are accommodated in a ventilation passage formed in a body casing 8 having an air inlet 21 and an air outlet 28, the ventilation passage is divided into a primary side space 19 of an air-in side and a secondary side space 20 of an air-out side bordered by the heat exchanger 9, and a drain pan 22 receiving drain water generated by the heat exchanger 9 is disposed below the heat exchanger 9. In cleaning of the heat exchanger 9, foreign substances adhered to the fins are washed away into the secondary side space 20 by cleaning water W sprayed from the primary side space 19. A gap part communicating the primary side space 19 with the secondary side space 20 for passing the washed away foreign substances is provided between a lower end 9A of the heat exchanger 9 and the drain pan 22. |
