The present invention relates to an electronic cigarette, which comprises an inhale member having a smoke introduction part discharging smoke; an essence container filled with liquid essence bolted in the state that the smoke introduction part is inserted on the top; a wick member arranged in the inner upper end of the essence container and including a smoke discharging unit inserted into the smoke introduction part, a wick spreading in the diameter direction from the lower part of the smoke discharging unit and exposed to the liquid essence, a heating element wound on the part of the wick in the state of not being exposed to the liquid essence, and a socket connected to +,- terminals of the heating element; a supporting member including a socket fastening unit coupled with the lower end of the wick member and applying the electric current, sealing the lower end of the essence container and having an inhale unit connected to the smoke introduction part passing through the wick member; and a battery container fastened on the lower end of the supporting member and applying the electric power to the heating element through the inside of the supporting member. The electronic cigarette according to the present invention is able to prevent the excessive inflow of the liquid essence, to prevent the battery damage due to leakage in a long term use, to use for a long time as the wick part is able to be replaceable separately, and, therefore, has the effect of reducing the costs related to maintenance. |
