摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display device capable of enhancing detection accuracy and position resolution on an in-cell capacitance touch sensor mounted on a liquid crystal panel.SOLUTION: A driving electrode 34 of a touch sensor is formed of a transparent conductive film which is laminated over a surface of a TFT substrate at the liquid crystal 84 side lower than a pixel electrode 40 and is disposed in an area between gate lines. A detection electrode 36 is formed with a transparent conductive film laminated over an outer surface of the TFT substrate. The liquid crystal display device supplies a drive signal to the driving electrode 34 to give a voltage change. The liquid crystal display device detects the change of capacitance in an area where the driving electrode 34 and the detection electrode 36 are opposed to each other based on the voltage change on the detection electrode 36 caused thereby. Thus, the liquid crystal display device detects a contact of an object with the display plane in the vicinity of the opposing area on a liquid crystal panel 4.
