PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate operation corresponding to a set imaging mode.SOLUTION: An imaging apparatus comprises a display controller and a controller. The display controller causes a display unit to display an image generated by an imaging unit. If a specific operation is received in a manual focus mode for allowing a user to obtain focus manually, the controller performs control to magnify and display a predetermined area in the image. Furthermore, if a specific operation is received in an autofocus mode for automatically obtaining focus, the controller performs control to execute autofocus control.
