摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To display a sound velocity map more highly reliable when displaying the sound velocity map on the basis of a local sound velocity by acquiring the local sound velocity in a subject.SOLUTION: Ultrasonic diagnostic equipment includes: a reception signal storage unit 13 which stores a reception signal acquired by an ultrasonic probe through transmission/reception of ultrasonic waves into/from a subject by the ultrasonic probe 10; a sound velocity map generation unit 18 which acquires a local sound velocity in the subject on the basis of the reception signal stored in the reception signal storage unit 13, and which generates a sound velocity map on the basis of the acquired local sound velocity; a display control unit 19 which displays the sound velocity map generated by the sound velocity map generation unit 18; and a display area determination unit 17 which determines display and nondisplay areas for the sound velocity map in an area where the sound velocity map is configured, on the basis of the result of the analysis of the reception signal stored in the reception signal storage unit 13. The display control unit 19 displays the sound velocity map on the basis of the result of a determination made by the display area determination unit 17.
