The present invention relates to an eddy induction type water purification member and a manufacturing method thereof, having a spiral structure generating eddy, maximizing purification efficiency by maximizing contact area and time that the water purification member comes in contact with water to be purified, and performing a complete purification only with a single type of purification member. The manufacturing method comprises: a first process of manufacturing a mixed composition by mixing 65-75 wt% of kaolin powder and 25-35 wt% of barley stone powder, and manufacturing a final mixture by adding 10 wt% of white sugar syrup to the mixture; a second process of continuously extruding the mixed composition in a plate shape; a third process of molding a purification member by manufacturing the extruded composition in a spiral bowl shape; a fourth process of drying the molded purification member under a dark area for 6-8 days with good ventilation; a fifth process of hardening the dried purification member at 1300-1400°C; and a sixth process of cooling the hardened purification member for longer than 45-55 hours naturally.
