PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a separator for a fuel battery capable of improving reliability of a sealing property as well as a power generation performance of a fuel battery.SOLUTION: A separator for a fuel battery according to the present invention is opposed to an MEA held by a GDL, and sealed by a first sealing member, so as to constitute a single cell of the fuel battery. Grooves for gas passages defining a fuel gas passage are formed at predetermined intervals at a portion of the separator faced to the GDL (a portion opposed to the MEA). Also, sealing grooves are formed at an outer peripheral edge of the separator. Furthermore, in the single cell, groove bottom inner faces (sealing faces) of the sealing grooves are set nearer the MEA than gas passage reference faces of the grooves for the gas passages. Then, in the separator, an aspect ratio of the sealing grooves in which the first seal member is provided is made smaller than an aspect ratio of the grooves for the gas passages. |
