PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lighting apparatus capable of irradiating light on an irradiation body so that luminance in a surface direction of the irradiation body may be uniform, and a display device having the lighting apparatus.SOLUTION: A backlight unit 1 is provided with a plurality of light-emitting parts 111 arranged in a row in the central region 1311 of a bottom part 131 and in a peripheral region 1312, a central region reflecting member 118A and a peripheral region reflecting member 118B. The central region reflecting member 118A is installed in the surrounding of each light-emitting part 111 arranged in the central region 1311, extends in a direction vertical to an optical axis S of the light-emitting part 111, and reflects light emitted from the light-emitting part 111 toward a liquid crystal panel 2. The peripheral region reflecting member 118B is installed in the surrounding of each light-emitting part 111 arranged in the peripheral region 1312. This peripheral region reflecting member 118B has an auxiliary reflecting part 1182, and the auxiliary reflecting part 1182 surrounds the light-emitting part 111 and extends inclined to the optical axis S of the light-emitting part 111. |
