PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To change a synthesis parameter in accordance with surrounding environment and generates an object detecting image suitable for an object detecting process when a first output image and a second output image are synthesized.SOLUTION: A visible camera 110 picks up a surrounding environment to obtain a visible image. A far-infrared camera 120 picks up the surrounding environment to obtain a far-infrared image. A detection part 140 calculates an evaluation value of each of the visible image and the far-infrared image so as to detect the surrounding environment during photographing. A CPU 170 detects which one of daytime, twilight, and night is indicated by the surrounding environment, from the evaluation values calculated by the detection part 140. A synthesizing part 150 changes a synthesis parameter for synthesizing the visible image and the far-infrared image on the basis of the detection result of the surrounding environment, synthesizes the visible image and the far-infrared image by using the changed synthesis parameter, and generates an object detecting image. |
