PURPOSE: A cross flow cooling tower is provided to have a water sprinkling unit, thereby increasing sprinkling efficiency and heat-exchanging efficiency. CONSTITUTION: A cross flow cooling tower comprises a side casing (11a), an upper casing (12), an opening unit (15), a heat-exchanging unit, an air supply outlet (13), a louver (21), an eliminator (22a), a water sprinkling unit, an outer compartment member, an inner compartment member, a ventilation fan unit, and a water collecting unit (90). The side and upper casings form a heat-exchanging area and a discharging area. The opening unit is formed in either the side casing or the upper casing. The heat exchanging unit is arranged in the heat-exchanging area. The air supply outlet guides cooling air to the heat-exchanging unit. The louver is equipped outside the heat-exchanging unit. The eliminator is equipped inside the heat-exchanging unit. The water sprinkling unit sprinkles cooling water to the heat-exchanging unit. The outer and inner compartment members block a bypass flow of the cooling air and water. The ventilation fan unit includes a fan cylinder, a ventilation fan, a motor, and a bearing unit. The water collecting unit comprises a water collecting basin and a cooling water outlet. |
