PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image projection device and an image processing method which can use a surface formed in an arbitrary shape or at an arbitrary angle as a screen and can project a seamless image on the whole circumference of a wall surface in a room.SOLUTION: An image projection device includes: a plurality of pieces of projection means 1a-1f which project images on screens W1-W4; photographing means 2 which photographs projection images projected by the projection means on the screens; an image processing device 3 which corrects the projection images on the basis of the image acquired by the photographing means. The image processing device includes: geometrical correction means 32 which corrects the projection images into a desired shape by geometrically deforming them; region correction means 32 for projecting the projection images corrected by the geometrical correction means on a desired projection region; luminance correction means 33 which adjusts intensity level of luminance with the projection image projected by each projection means as a unit; and overlapping region correction means 34 which adjusts luminance for an overlapping region in which the projection images overlap with each other between adjacent projection regions.
