PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display and input device that implements enhanced user friendliness.SOLUTION: A copying machine 1 comprises: a touch panel 71 having a display section 72 having a display screen, and a contact detection section 73 arranged in a layer on the display screen to detect a contact position and a contact region of a contact body; a display control section 91 for displaying a plurality of soft keys in a central part and a marginal part of the display screen on the basis of layout information; a calculation section 93 for, if the contact position detected by the contact detection section 73 corresponds to any soft key, calculating the area of the contact region on the basis of the contact region detected by the contact detection section 73; and a layout change section 94 for, if the area of the contact region of contact in the position corresponding to any soft key in the marginal part is smaller than the area of the contact region of contact in the position corresponding to any soft key in the central part, changing the layout information such that the display position of the soft key in the marginal part on the display screen is closer to the central part. |
