PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device that prevents unnecessary refresh when toner is consumed non-uniformly in an image width direction.SOLUTION: An image forming device 1 includes a developing roller 51 that carries toner and supplies it to a photoreceptor drum 13 to form a toner image during image formation, and performs refresh to discharge the toner from the developing roller 51 toward the photoreceptor drum 13 during non-image-formation. The image forming device includes: a printing rate detection unit 65 that detects an image formation printing rate for each of a plurality of regions R1-R8 divided in an image width direction on the photoreceptor drum 13 after image formation; a discharge area determination unit 67 that determines necessity of discharging the toner and an amount of toner to be discharged for each region, on the basis of the detected printing rate; and a discharge range setting unit 69 that sets a range for toner discharge in the image width direction with respect to a region where the toner is to be discharged so as to protrude from a boundary with an adjacent region. |
