PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information processing device which can maintain simple operability and also enhance authentication accuracy.SOLUTION: A detection unit 201 detects a user biological shape input to a detection surface, and outputs user biological information indicating the user biological shape. A determination unit 202 determines an input area on the detection surface to which the user biological shape is input, and outputs input area information indicating the input area. A storage unit 203 stores registered biological information indicating a registered biological shape and registered area information indicating a specific area on the detection surface as registered authentication information. An authentication unit 204 performs authentication processing for authenticating the user of the information processing device 200 by using the user biological information output by the detection unit 201, the input area information output by the determination unit 202, and the registered authentication information stored by the storage unit 203.
