PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that photoacoustic waves of energy proportional to optical absorptance are not generated and measurement accuracy declines when the size of a heat generation part (photoacoustic wave generation part) is below the pulse length of the photoacoustic waves, in a spectroscopic measurement device which irradiates a specimen with the selected heating pulse light of a specific wavelength and measures the energy of the photoacoustic waves generated inside a living body.SOLUTION: A spectroscopic measurement device includes: a light source for generating pulse light to be radiated to a specimen; an ultrasonic probe for receiving ultrasonic pulses generated inside the specimen; and a signal processing part for calculating the generation part and intensity of the ultrasonic pulses generated inside the specimen on the basis of signals received in the ultrasonic probe. By irradiating the specimen with the pulse light before and after irradiating the specimen with light generated in the light source or a different light source, the density distribution of a desired component can be more highly accurately measured. |
