PURPOSE: A portable terminal device supporting a distributed interface is provided to utilize a camera mounted on an external device thereby enabling a high-performance camera mounted on an external device to be used for the portable terminal device without replacing the portable terminal device. CONSTITUTION: A hardware abstraction layer module (200) includes an external device hardware abstraction layer module to support access to an external device other than a portable terminal device. An application framework (400) includes an external device management module to manage the external device. An application layer module (500) includes a distributed device control application to enable a user to control external devices. A wireless communications supporting module (600) supports wireless communications such as a wireless modem or Wi-Fi. The external device hardware abstraction layer module receives information about the eternal device by using the wireless communications supporting module.
