The device has a tank (2) for containing cryogenic propellant, and a feeding circuit (4) connected to the tank. An electric pump (10) is connected within the tank for pumping the propellant through the feeding circuit. The feeding circuit includes an inlet valve (7) downstream of the electric pump, where the inlet valve is integrated inside the tank. The feeding circuit includes a turbopump (8) provided with a pump (8a) to pump the propellant through the feeding circuit, and a turbine (8b) mechanically coupled with the pump for its actuation. An independent claim is also included for a method for feeding propellant into a propellant chamber of a rocket engine.
