<p>The present invention relates to a door lock for a public restroom. In particular, the present invention provides a door lock device for a public restroom which has a structure acting as a shelf for a user to put belongings or bags on as well as a safety handle for the elderly and the infirm or the disabled. To do so, the door lock for a public restroom, given in the present invention, includes a latch housing which is fixed to the inside of a door being opened or closed while rotating around a hinge; a locking unit which is fixed to the inside surface of a wall close to the door and includes a locking hole on the surface facing the latch housing; a latch which is integrated in the latch housing, is able to slide along the gap between the door and the wall, and is inserted into or separated from the locking hole of the locking unit to maintain the lock or unlock state of the door; a spring which supplies elastic restoring force in order for the latch to be separated from the locking hole of the locking unit to return to the unlock state of the door; a rotational shaft which crosses both surfaces of the latch housing and is rotatable up and down; lever bars which connect a handle for rotating the rotational shaft and both ends of the rotational shaft at a certain interval; a shelf which is fixed between the lever bars ;and a cam which is fixed to the rotational shaft in the latch housing, rotates as the rotational shaft rotates downward, and pushes the latch into the locking hole of the locking unit.</p> |
