摘要 <p>The present invention relates to a tire handling performance evaluation method and system capable of predicting levels of tire handling performance (or cornering performance) under a vehicle condition without conducting driving tests of an actual vehicle. The tire handling performance evaluation method and system according to the present invention comprises; a deriving stage for characteristic factors to derive major characteristic factors affecting handling from force and moment data; and a calculating stage for predictions to predict a tire handling performance by combining major characteristic factors; and an evaluating stage for superiority to evaluate superiority of a handling performance among tires according to the evaluation results of the prediction. The prediction uses major characteristic factors of CC1, ATC1, CC4, ATC4, NLTS, NLS and CP. According to the present invention, since all or a part of subjective evaluation and objective evaluation procedures for the tire handling performance that should essentially be undergone during a development period of tires or vehicles can be substituted with the handling performance evaluation method according to the present invention, there are effects that waste of time and expenses required for evaluation of the tire handling performance (maneuvering stability) can be reduced upon developing tires and vehicles, a consistent tire performance be maintained, and consistent evaluations of cornering performance of tires be made.
