The present invention relates to an electro-osmotic dehydrator having a conductor detection unit, comprising a drum installed to be rotated in a frame, in which the negative or positive electrode is applied; a caterpillar installed separately in the drum, in which the opposite electrode is applied; and a filtering belt entering between the drum and caterpillar. The electro-osmotic dehydrator dehydrates sludge through the electricity movement and electro-osmotic process. The electro-osmotic dehydrator is equipped with a conductor detection unit detecting whether conductors are contained in the sludge, in order to prevent the sludge containing conductors from being inserted between the drum and caterpillar before entering between the drum and caterpillar. According to the electro-osmotic dehydrator having the conductor detection unit, it is prevented that conductors are inserted between the drum and caterpillar in which different poles of powers are applied, by detecting whether conductors are contained in the sludge moving along the filter. Hence, prevented are spark generation, due to conductors between the drum and caterpillar, and damage, which is caused by the spark, to the filter, drum, caterpillar and power supply unit. |
