An improvement of Agrobacterium-mediated transformation for an efficient production of transgenic cymbidium plants

PURPOSE: A method for producing a transgenic Cymbidium plant body is provided to enhance transformation efficiency and to identify acetosyringone addition effect. CONSTITUTION: A method for culturing Cymbidium protocorm-like bodies(PLB) comprises: a step of cutting a new shoot from protocorm in a size of width 0.5cm and length 0.5cm; a step of placing the shoot in a medium and culturing at 24+/-1 degrees Celsius under a light condition for 16 hours; and a step of sub-culturing every four weeks.
