PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recording and reproducing apparatus that can prevent the speed of recording and readout of content data from becoming slow by preventing a region segmented to the whole recording medium from dispersing.SOLUTION: A recording and reproducing apparatus 1 includes: a head 17c for performing recording to a platter 17a including an inner peripheral region 217a and an outer peripheral region 317a in which content data is recorded; and a control unit 10 for controlling the head 17c so as to record content data, which is preliminarily determined to be highly possibly deleted, into the inner peripheral region 217a, and to record content data, which is preliminarily determined to be lowly possibly deleted, into the outer peripheral region 317a. |
