PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a protection device for achieving the intrusion of sea water into a building due to tsunami, a tidal wave or the like with a simple structure and at low costs.SOLUTION: A protection device includes: a conduit 1 for introducing sea water when a sea water surface rises due to tsunami W, a dial wave or the like; a grooved filamentary body 2 installed in the ground adjacent to a building B, equipped with a space part 4 having a predetermined capacity whose inner part communicates with the conduit 1, and formed with an opened upper part; and a floating wall body 3 installed so as to be freely movable up and down in the space part 4 of the grooved filamentary body 2, and configured to rise with a buoyant force when sea water intrudes into the space part 4. |
