<p>A process for detecting oil or lubricant contamination in a manufactured product C such as a cigarette C, the process comprising adding one ore more fluorescent taggant to oils or lubricants contained in processing machinery (10, 20, 30, 40, 50) for the product C, irradiating the product C with ultraviolet radiation, or preferably with infrared and ultraviolet radiation, and detecting visible, or preferably visible and infrared, radiation emitted from the irradiated product C.</p> |
