The present invention relates to a polyester coating composition used in film formation on a metal coated plate, metal container, metal lid or the like. A mixed polyester resin comprises a polyester resin (A) with an acid value of 2 to 50 mgKOH/g and a glass transition temperature (Tg) of 35 to 100°C, and a polyester resin (B) with an acid value of 0 to 50mgKOH/g and a glass transition temperature (Tg) of -20 to 25°C, and by forming a coating composition comprising said mixed polyester resin containing a cross-linking agent and a curing catalyst, a coating composition can be provided which has with excellent resistance to embrittlement over time, corrosion resistance, scraping resistance, retort resistance, and blocking resistance.
