PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a line emulation device capable of changing a packetization cycle during operation.SOLUTION: When a command to change a packet transmission cycle is issued, a transmission unit transmits a change command packet to a reception unit via a packet communication network. When the reception unit receives the change command packet via the packet communication network, the reception unit temporality changes a read clock to a state in which the read clock is synchronous with a transmission clock to an asynchronous state, adjusts a frequency of the read clock during the asynchronous state, returns the read clock to the state in which the read clock is synchronous with the transmission clock, and transmits a preparation completion notification packet to the transmission unit via the packet communication network. When the transmission unit receives the preparation completion notification packet, the transmission unit changes the packet transmission cycle corresponding to the contents of the change command for the first time. |
