PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of using a polypeptide selected from the group consisting of USP13, USP26, USP38, USP42 or USP46 as a screening tool for an agent for treating cancer.SOLUTION: Use of a USP polypeptide selected from the group consisting of (a) a polypeptide consisting of USP46, USP26, USP38, or USP42; (b) a functional fragment of a polypeptide USP46, USP26, USP38, or USP42 and exhibiting an activity of deubiquitination; (c) a polypeptide comprising an amino acid sequence having a 95% or more homology with a polypeptide consisting of USP46, USP26, USP38, or USP42 and exhibiting an activity of deubiquitination, as a screening tool for an agent for treating cancer, in which interaction between myeloid cell leukemia-1 and USP proteins is involved, is disclosed. |
