The present invention provides a method for safely producing a solution containing tetrafluoro(oxalate)phosphate, said solution having few chlorine compounds or free acids, such that crystallization and purification are not required in later steps. The present invention is a method for producing a tetrafluoro(oxalate)phosphate solution by mixing hexafluorophosphate and oxalic acid in a nonaqueous solvent, and then causing a reaction by adding silicon tetrachloride to the mixture. The ratios at which the hexafluorophosphate, oxalic acid and silicon tetrachloride are added are set at a molar quantity of 1.90 of hexafluorophosphate and a molar quantity of 1.90 to 2.10 of oxalic acid with respect to a molar quantity of 1 of the silicon tetrachloride. |
