PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel cell system that keeps heat balance of a hydrogen generator, maintains reacting sections of the hydrogen generator at predetermined temperatures, and thus continues to operate stably.SOLUTION: A fuel cell system includes a fuel cell 2, a hydrogen generator 3, a burner section 3e, air supply means, and a cooling air path. The hydrogen generator 3 has: a reforming section 3a; and a carbon monoxide reduction section that reduces carbon monoxide in fuel gas produced in the reforming section 3a. The burner section 3e burns combustion gas, and heats the reforming section 3a. The air supply means supplies air to at least one of the fuel cell 2 and the burner section 3e through an air supply path. The cooling air path branches off from the air supply path, and circulates part of air supplied by the air supply means around at least one of the reforming section 3a and the carbon monoxide reduction section. The flow rate of air circulating through the cooling air path is adjusted so as to maintain reacting sections of the hydrogen generator 3 at predetermined temperatures. |
